Peregrine falcons are top predators that hunt by flying very high and then stooping in a dive to strike prey out of the air. They may also pursue prey in level flight. The name "peregrine" means "wanderer". Though some individuals are permanent residents, many migrate widely outside the nesting season.

Dale Kincaid is native to the Cleveland, Ohio area. From childhood he has always had an enthusiasm for photography.
